Preferences are your own settings: the theme, your time zone, the language Ken answers you in, and how lists and Ken behave. They change Kenso for you only, never for your teammates, and they're saved to your account, so they follow you to another browser. Open Settings › Preferences: press G then , to open Settings, then click Preferences under Account. You can also click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and click Preferences.
Each change saves as soon as you make it. There is no Save button.
Theme
Under Theme, click Light, Dark or System. System follows your computer's setting and switches when your computer does.
To switch faster, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and pick a theme next to Theme.
Time zone
Kenso shows every time in this zone: your Inbox, Calendar, Today and reports.
- Click the Time zone field.
- Pick your zone. Kenso confirms with "Time zone saved".
If you never set one, Kenso takes your browser's zone the first time you open the page and says so, for example "Time zone set to London (detected)".
Your time zone also sets when your daily brief arrives. Pick the brief's time in Settings › Notifications.
Your time zone doesn't change when campaigns send. Each campaign has its own schedule and time zone. See Set a sending schedule.
Language
Under Language, pick English, Français, Español or Deutsch. Ken then answers you in that language and translates replies into it. Pages and buttons stay in English. Kenso confirms with "Language saved".
Behavior
| Setting | What it does | Default |

What Ken can do here
Press ⌘J and ask Ken to change your theme or a Behavior setting, such as Show shortcut hints. Ken asks you to approve the change first. An AI tool you connect to Kenso can do the same. See Use Kenso from Claude or ChatGPT.
If something goes wrong
- A time zone or language change goes back. Kenso couldn't save it and shows the reason. Pick it again in a moment.
- Times look wrong. Check Time zone here. A zone detected from a laptop that was traveling stays until you change it.
- The theme changes on its own. System is on, and your computer switched between light and dark. Pick Light or Dark to keep one.
