When a prospect opens one of your sending domains in a browser, Kenso can show them a real page instead of a redirect: a rebuild of your home page, with a link to your main site. You manage that page in Settings › Outbound site. Press G then , to open Settings, then click Outbound site under Channels. You choose which domains show it in Delivery.

How it works

  • One page for all your domains. Ken builds it from your live home page: the Main site URL you set, or your workspace website. Every sending domain set to show it shows the same page at its root.
  • Any other path goes to your main site. Someone who opens a link such as yourdomain.com/pricing lands on your main site.
  • No DNS work on your side. Kenso sets up each domain itself. It works on sending domains whose DNS Kenso can edit, such as domains you bought in Kenso. It never touches your main website's domain.
  • A build takes about 20 minutes. The page people see stays up until the new one is ready.
  • Builds don't use your credits.

Choose the page or a redirect for each domain

Each sending domain answers one question: "What should people see when they open these domains?"

  • A rebuild of your website (recommended). Kenso rebuilds your home page and serves it on each domain, with a link to your site.
  • A redirect to your website. Anyone who opens the domain is sent to your website.

When you buy inboxes and domains in Kenso, you answer it before you pay. To answer or change it later:

  1. Open Delivery, or press G then D.
  2. On the Inboxes tab, click a domain name. Its side panel opens on the right.
  3. Find Website. A domain nobody answered for says "Not answered yet. Until you answer, this domain keeps redirecting."
  4. Pick an answer and click Save.

Kenso confirms with a message such as "Saved. Ken builds the page on yourdomain.com and switches it over shortly." The first domain you switch starts the first build on its own. To answer for several domains at once, select their inboxes, pick Domains in the side panel, then click Apply to and the number of domains.

Once a domain shows the page, its Website row lists each hostname with a status:

StatusWhat it means
LivePeople see the page.
Setting up or Not live yetKenso is still connecting the domain.
Waiting for the pageThe domain is ready, but the first build hasn't finished.
Stays on redirectThis domain can't show the page. The line below says why.
FailedKenso couldn't connect the domain on its last try.
StoppedKenso stopped trying. See below.
Switching backThe domain is going back to a redirect.

Click Preview in the row to open Settings › Outbound site.

Turn the page off

  1. Open the domain's side panel in Delivery.
  2. Under Website, click Switch to redirect.

Kenso confirms with a message such as "Saved. yourdomain.com goes back to redirecting to your website shortly." Click Switch to rebuild to turn it back on. There is no single switch for every domain on the Outbound site page: switch each domain, or several at once from Domains.

Edit what the page says

The Details card holds what the page fills in on every domain. A change shows at once, with no rebuild.

Contact emailThe public address from your site. Kenso creates no new mailbox.254

Show the link to your main site keeps the link to your main site that your home page has. Click Save to save your changes, or Cancel to drop them. Kenso checks the main site URL before it saves, because every domain links and redirects to it.

Rebuild the page

After a redesign or new copy on your site:

  1. In the Build card, click Refresh page. Before the first build, the button says Build page.
  2. Kenso confirms with "Ken is rebuilding the page". Latest build shows Queued, then Building, then Published.

To change something, click Regenerate with a note instead. Type what to change, such as "Drop the pricing section", in up to 1,000 characters, and click Regenerate.

Kenso also rebuilds on its own: the first time a domain is set to show the page, and, while Main site URL is empty, after your workspace website changes, at most once a day.

Preview and restore a version

The Page card shows the live page. If you have several sending domains, pick one in the domain menu. Switch between Desktop and Mobile.

Versions lists every page Ken published, newest first. Current marks the live one. Needs a look means Ken's visual check scored the page low: it still went live, so check it. Each version says how it was made: "Built from your site", "Rebuilt with a note" with the note, or "Restored".

Click Restore on a version to put it back on every domain at once. If a build is running, its page replaces the restored one when it ends.

Who can change it

You need edit access to Delivery. Admins and Editors have it. Anyone else sees "You need Edit access to Delivery to change these settings." and can only look.

What Ken can do here

Ken can read the page, its versions and builds, and give you a preview link to share. With your approval, it can save the details, start a rebuild, switch a domain between the page and a redirect, and restore a version.

If something goes wrong

Latest build shows Failed. The page people see did not change. The line says why:

  • "Add your main site URL first." Fill in Main site URL, or set your workspace website.
  • "Your main site URL failed Kenso's link check." Use another URL for your main site.
  • "The build took too long.", "Ken couldn't start the build.", "The build didn't start. Try again." or "Ken couldn't publish the page." Click Refresh page again later.
  • "The page didn't pass Kenso's checks." Try Regenerate with a note, or restore an earlier version.

"You can refresh the page again at" and a time. You reached the rebuild limit. Wait until that time.

"A build is already running". Wait for it to end. The card updates every 30 seconds.

"Enter a public URL, like https://acme.com/". The URL is not a public web address, or it failed Kenso's link check. "Enter one email address, like [email protected]" and "Use at most ... characters." point at the field to fix.

"Kenso can't edit this domain's DNS, so it stays on redirect." The domain's DNS is somewhere Kenso can't change. It keeps redirecting.

"Tracked links outside this workspace use this domain, so it stays on redirect." Another workspace's links use this domain, so Kenso leaves it alone.

"Kenso stopped trying". Kenso gave up connecting the domain. Click Switch to redirect, then Switch to rebuild to try again.

"This version's page fails today's page checks, so it cannot be restored". That version no longer passes Kenso's page checks. Pick another version, or rebuild.

"Add a sending domain to preview the page." You have no sending domain yet. Add one in Delivery.
